WEEK OF OCTOBER 11, 1998:
On Sunday, October 11, the Warthogs lost to the Diamondbacks in the winners bracket game. This was tough to take, as the team had beaten the D-backs twice earlier and was then required to play a second game against the Indians South (a team that had beaten the Hogs earlier in the season) in order to earn the right to play the D-backs in the championship game. Well, the Hogs bounced back in the afternoon and, led with home runs from Logan, Pete, Fred, & Don and 6 solid innings of pitching from Pete, defeated the Indians South 17-5.

NEXT GAME:
The Hog's next game is at 10am, Sunday, October 18th at T-winkle park in Costa Mesa (corner of Fairview and Arlington near the Orange County Fair). The game is the last of the season and is the MSBL Continental Division championship game. As noted above, our opponent will be the Diamondbacks against whom we are 2 and 1 this season.
