Distractions... These are things which in one way or another, at one time or another, have sucked up a great deal of my time. Hence, black holes. Of course, it's not just the case that matter and time went in and were never seen again. In many instances, good things came of the effort.
	Mutatis Mutandis MUX A cross between a hobby and a part-time jack of all trades job, and definitely a labor of love, this MUX is an online real-time interactive roleplaying game which relies on the creativity of its players rather than rules. I don't spend as much time online these days (ie, work too much), but it was fun redesigning this site after five years of learning.
	German Gothic Script Translation for Genealogists Well it was once my dad's hobby... and he wanted a very simple page for this, more out of disbelief in the web than anything. The thing that astonished me was that he actually did this through correspondence. Snail mail!! Of course, the graphic took more effort than the page.
	Traditional Chinese Medicine As a long-time recipient of acupuncture, and someone always fascinated with herbcraft and non-Western medicine, I always wanted to learn acupuncture. I just never had the time. One spring, though, I managed to find time for a few courses. I cobbled up a web page where I could have notes to study during the day if I was at work and so inclined to look during lunch. As you can see, I didn't get very far. Maybe some day!
	My Tamagotchi Page Hmmm. No this isn't serious, so don't send me email complaining about the color content. I wanted it to vibrate, darn it! So there!
	Interactive Color Gallery When doing web pages for friends early on, I was asked once too often "What color should I make my background?" or "What about the text?!" I decided the best thing would be to enable the individual to decide for themselves. Tiny squares on color grids isn't always helpful, so here's a frames only page that allows you to sample six different background/text pairs, as well as convert between hex and decimal. This is in no way as cool as some of the newer JavaScript truly interactive pages that have web safe color palettes and do the same thing, but then, when I wrote this, JavaScript wasn't as cool as it became.
